Why Choose Black Chain Link in Seymour?
Black vinyl-coated chain link delivers the rugged security Valley homeowners expect without the industrial look of silver mesh. The coating seals out Connecticut snow, salt, and summer humidity, preventing rust while blending with landscaping. Compared with wood or wrought iron, material costs are lower, maintenance is minimal, and installation is fast. Fence Builders USA sources ASTM-grade galvanized wire, coats it with UV-stable black PVC, and stretches it tight between schedule-40 posts set below the frost line on your Monroe, Shelton, or downtown Seymour lot. Available heights range from 4’ backyard enclosures to 10’ commercial security fences. Optional privacy slats or windscreens upgrade curb appeal and pool safety. With more than a decade of local experience, our family team tailors every system to your terrain and budget.

Popular Add-Ons & Styles
Privacy Slats
Add high-density polyethylene slats to instantly block street views and create a private oasis. Choose evergreen, mocha, or dune colors to coordinate with siding. Slats slide securely into the black chain link mesh, increasing wind resistance up to 85 percent and boosting backyard tranquility without the cost of full privacy fence panels. Installation can be completed the same day as your fence erection.
Lockable Gate Systems
From six-foot walk gates for pets to twelve-foot double-drive gates for trailers, we fabricate powder-coated frames that match your fence run. Heavy-duty hinges, self-closing pool latches, and keypad or smart-lock hardware keep Norwalk and Fairfield properties secure while meeting local pool code. Ask about cantilever gates for steep driveways.
Thicker Wire Gauges
Upgrade to a 9-gauge core with 2-inch diamonds for pets that climb or large-breed dogs that lean. The extra steel resists deformation and deters intruders. All wire is hot-dipped galvanized, then vinyl-coated black for seamless rust protection in Bristol’s freeze-thaw cycles.
Our Proven Five-Step Installation
When you book Fence Builders USA, your project is managed start to finish by a certified specialist, not day laborers. 1) We arrive for a free 30-minute site assessment, measure lot lines, discuss height, and mark underground utilities. 2) Within 24 hours you receive a transparent estimate and CAD layout. 3) After you approve financing or deposit, our permit desk files the paperwork with Seymour Zoning and surrounding towns such as Oxford and Milford. 4) Posts are set 36" deep in concrete rated for New England frost, then we return after curing to stretch the black chain link fabric and install gates. 5) A final walk-through ensures tension, alignment, and property clean-up. Average turnaround, one to four weeks depending on material stock, keeps your backyard secure faster than big-box contractors.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on permitting and material availability, but most Seymour projects are installed within one to four weeks after you sign the contract. Actual on-site work—digging posts, curing concrete, hanging fabric and gates—typically spans two workdays, weather permitting, with minimal disruption to your yard.
While every yard is unique, most medium backyards needing 150-200 linear feet fall within $4,000–$8,000, including gates, concrete, and cleanup. Terrain challenges, additional gates, privacy slats, or taller fabric can adjust the price, but you’ll always receive a detailed written estimate before work begins.
Yes. We can retrofit most galvanized chain link with color-matched black privacy slats, provided the fabric and posts are structurally sound. During your consultation we’ll inspect tension, ties, and post depth to ensure the upgrade will last, then quote the slat material and installation separately.
Yes, when installed at least 48 inches high with self-closing, self-latching gates that open outward and latch 54 inches above grade. Our black chain link packages meet the Connecticut State Building Code adopted by Seymour, and we handle the permit submission and final inspection scheduling for you.
Absolutely. Our crew will dismantle and haul away your old wood, vinyl, or metal fencing, separate recyclable metals, and dispose of debris responsibly. Removal is included in your quote, so there are no surprise dump fees when you choose Fence Builders USA for replacement projects.
